Favourite Team and Player?

An avid and very loyal Manchester United fan, supported them since I can remember and I think it’s fair to say I get very passionate when it comes to watching them. It definitely hasn’t been easy watching them either! They have obviously had huge talent for a long time especially coming through the youth so with that I think it’s only right to say Marcus Rashford is on another level! I will also never forget that penalty that knocked PSG out of the champions league. He absolutely optimises what youth talent can become. Unreal! Some right foot on him as well by the way.

Favourite Food?

Italian food without a doubt! I have Italian roots so for me it’s just the best. Pasta is where it’s at for me 100%.

Number one pet peeve?

Lack of manners and rudeness. I think quite a common one! Just frustrates me when you are polite to someone and it just isn’t reciprocated and not saying please and thank you.

Something people might be surprised to learn?

World flags are my thing. I used to just sit for ages and play flag games and people would be surprised as to how I know the most random ones that no-one has even heard of. Whenever I used to see flags, I knew them straight away without hesitation. I’m pretty clued up on them I’d say. That’s probably about as interesting as it gets.

The Bio

I’ve grown up from a very sporty background and found a huge passion for football but still enjoy playing/ learning other sports as well. Being at university has opened up my eyes as to how much the coaching world has a huge and positive impact on all individuals in different ways.

Since being there I’ve developed a huge interest in disability and inclusive sports, having had some fantastic opportunities to be involved in specific events such as Cerebral Palsy football, blind football and meeting a blind lioness player that I’ve been fortunate to do some work with, as well as many other rewarding experiences.

These have given me further knowledge to develop my confidence in coaching/ teaching inclusive sports. I love the feeling of helping people and providing everyone with equal opportunities.

We first met Ruby, once again through our relationship with the University of Worcesters placement. After planning her placement with us way ahead of time we realised we had met one of the most organised and professional students at her age. For someone so young she has a very responsible head on her shoulders and this will certainly take her far.

Ruby leads one of our Wraparound care programs leading other staff members as well as working at our holiday camps. Behind the scenes Ruby is part of a team working on an exciting project, as her role in the company increases.

Ruby’s coaching and education career is just getting started, however we think she will go very far – watch this space!
