AJB SPORTS IN EDUCATION
AJB Sports in Education was established in 2015 by Andy Beeston after previously going by the name of Football Fun Camps. In 2014, and after spending 8 years living and coaching in America, Andy arrived home to the UK and was contemplating what the future held for him in the education and sporting sector. With the vast amount of experience and qualifications he had achieved in sports coaching and education, staying within this sector was his passion – but the question became, where and in what format? The answer presented itself during a chance meeting in a school library and an offer by the owner of Football Fun Camps to take over the company – and AJB was born! Now with many years of Football and Multi Sports Coaching in Primary Schools and holiday camps in multiple locations, Andy has never looked back.
He has worked hard to build AJB Sports in Education to be a company which embodies his beliefs as a coach: enjoyment of sport, participation for all, developing both physical and life skills and all whilst encouraging creativity throughout. After 3 years of solidifying and building the company the time came to look to the future, to rebrand and a new exciting era was born. This was quickly followed by new staff, a new Managing Director in James Prentice and continuing exciting links and partnerships with local colleges, Universities and the Worcestershire FA.

Here at AJB Sports in Education we are constantly focusing on our slogan, “Don’t just play…”. We see sport as so much more than just a chance for children and adults to play, and increasingly as an opportunity to create, learn, lead, inspire and grow. These skills provide a template for our whole ethos and outlook as a company and sport provider. We want to help develop individuals who are creative on and off the sports field and are able to engage with others whilst understanding the subtleties of teamwork, cooperation and fair play. We whole heartedly believe that, if introduced and developed correctly, sport can be a lifelong passion that engages all aspects of an individuals character and helps us all to be the best version of ourselves.

Our sessions and camps are designed to stimulate creativity and allow participants to take responsibility for their own learning. We give you the chance to create the games, lead a session and design how the camp r
uns. We see this as a huge part of growing and learning an
d helps develop the skills and attitudes that will shape our participants throughout all aspects of their life.
The Staff
All of our staff go through an extensive and thorough recruitment process. Our coaches are experts in their field and have experience in childcare and education. Everyone of our coaches is also fully invested in our ethos and believes in the holistic approach to coaching that we value here at AJB. Our fully qualified coaches have enhanced DBS disclosures and attend annual first aid and safeguarding workshops and courses.
Every coaching member has qualifications recognised by a National Governing Body such as The FA, RFU and LTA, as well as educational backgrounds including BTECs and BSc’s in Sports Coaching and Childcare.
Staff are regularly assessed and internally evaluated as well as encouraged to complete further coaching and educational qualifications. Most importantly, they are great people! They are always open to feedback, to providing sporting tips and information, or just for a friendly conversation.
