ACTIVE MINDS
ACTIVE MINDS
Active Minds is a PHYSICALLY ACTIVE LEARNING educational program focused on three key areas: Mental Health and Building Emotional Resilience, Diabetes Awareness and Nutrition and Healthy Eating. Our programme is specifically designed to raise awareness of critical areas of health and well being. Using our many years of experience of working in schools and teaching young children, and in partnership with leading healthcare professionals in various fields we have produced a ground breaking collection of programmes that we feel will better prepare the next generation to live long, healthy, happy and active lives.
Focused on three key areas:
Active Minds has been designed so that either staff from AJB Sports in Education can deliver the lessons, or your own school or company staff. There are 6 weekly sessions, plus pre and post course questionnaire to collect and assess data.
We have our own unique website with more information. Please go to www.ajbactiveminds.co.uk for more information on how you, your school, charity, company or organisation can get involved.
Quality, interactive worksheets to be used by children on their own or in small groups. These are linked with the physically active games to engage, extend and record learning.
Your resources for each lesson include your lesson worksheet and activity cards to be collected during the main games. The tasks are linked with the worksheets and the days games.
A short weekly video to meet our characters. We follow their lives living with our topics. The relatable stories can be used by the educators to revert back to while teaching the days topic.
A short Pre-Lesson Guidance Video for all of the educators with information on the days subject, lesson resources, short videos on how to set up and play the physcially active games.
Data is collected from each lesson to produce individual reports displaying impact data and demonstrating effective use of school budgets to meet Ofsted progress requirements.
Our programmes look to enhance children’s confidence, resilience and education so that they have then knowledge and tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
